Against the Night 1
The world ended. The Night killed it.
X is trapped living in the slums of the last remaining city on Earth. He can only venture out beyond the towering walls to scavenge relics of the old world when the sun is up.
At night, like everybody else, he hides inside from the monsters of the shadows… until an unexpected death occurs a little too close to home. With the blame on his shoulders, and trigger-happy guards on his trail, X has no choice but to run.
But the city was never a safe place to begin with, not really, and his only slim chance of survival lies outside the walls, in a landscape empty of humanity – and full of the darkness that wiped it out.
Against the Night 2
After losing everything, what remains?
That’s easy – revenge.
With Nia taken, X races back to Haven alongside his newfound partner to tear down the walls of the city and get her back – or die trying. However, he finds the city on the verge of a violent revolution, and the few people he calls friends dangerously in the middle. With old enemies growing even more bold, X needs new allies to navigate the increasing risks of the dark streets.

Meanwhile, Gem, tired of the oppressive rule of the Arbiters and the inequality between Slummers and Inners, takes her fight to the guards as a member of the growing rebellion. But, dangerous secrets lurk within the tall city’s tall walls, and things much worse than greed and corruption wait for the idealistic fighters.

X and Gem brave the depths of the Haven’s darkness to bring freedom for the ones they love, but something stirs in their shadows – something hungry.
Against the Night 3
The rebellion is over, Haven has fallen – and something far worse is taking its place.
After the impossible choice he made to stop the Arbiters’ plans, X finds himself in another world. One of eternal darkness and monsters that make the worst of nightmares seem like passing daydreams – the home of the Darklaws. And they aren’t fond of visitors.
Back in Haven, Gem and the other survivors are left to pick of the pieces and celebrate their ‘victory’, until the sun sets and the true terror of what they’ve done rises in the shadows. The Night that wiped out humanity has returned, free of the chains that held it in Haven, and it’s hungry.
Now, X’s only hope to get home and rescue what’s left of humanity lies in making a deal with the ruler of the Darklaws – one that may save everything, or doom the world to a true Endless Night.
